Do you tell me what to spray, or can I choose the product myself?

Product selection should always be guided by you or an agronomist. We’re happy to apply products based on agronomist recommendations and can also connect you with agronomists we regularly work with if needed.This helps ensure the right product is used at the correct rate and timing for your crop, weeds, and conditions.

Is drone spraying safe?

Yes. Drone spraying allows for precise, low-height application and targeted treatment, helping reduce off-target drift and ground compaction. Each job is planned around weather conditions, buffer zones, and product label requirements.

Are you fully licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Swift Drone Solutions is licensed and insured. We operate under CASA regulations for aviation safety and are compliant with Agriculture Victoria requirements for chemical use and record keeping. All spraying is carried out by a licensed remote pilot.

What types of crops and properties do you work with?

We work with a wide range of crops and situations, including maize, pasture, broadacre crops, weed control, and smaller lifestyle or hard-to-access properties. If you’re unsure whether drone spraying is suitable for your property, feel free to get in touch.

Question 5

How big does the job need to be? Is there a minimum size?

There is no minimum job size. Drone spraying is well suited to both small and large areas, including spot spraying, awkward paddocks, and areas that are difficult to access with ground equipment.

Do you supply the chemical products?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, it’s best for you to supply the chemical product based on your agronomist’s recommendation. If needed, we can arrange to supply products on your behalf at an additional cost, which can be discussed during the call-back.

What information do you need before spraying?

We’ll typically need the property location, crop, target area, and any agronomist recommendations. A screenshot of the area from Google Maps is also very helpful when planning the job.Please also let us know if we can access water on site to fill our tank, or if we need to bring water with us (an additional fee may apply).

Availability depends on weather conditions and current bookings. Once you submit your details, Josh will call you back as soon as he’s available to discuss timing and next steps.

What areas do you service?

Swift Drone Solutions is based in Yinnar and services properties across Gippsland. If you are just outside the region, get in touch — travel can often be arranged around scheduled work.

What do you need from me before a job?

Accepted Answer

Three things: a property map (a satellite screenshot from Google or Apple Maps with the treatment areas highlighted), a written chemical plan that suits your target and your farm operations, and safe access near the spraying areas for our ute or trailer, 400-litre batch tank and generator.

What happens if the weather turns?

Accepted Answer

Every operating date remains subject to weather, site conditions, airspace and operational safety. Where we determine an operation must be postponed solely because conditions are unsafe or unlawful, no cancellation fee applies.

Question 12

Can you treat steep or heavily timbered country?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Steep hills, wet gullies, rocky sections and awkward corners are where drone application is strongest. The remote pilot must maintain visual line of sight, so hilly or divided properties may require several safe setup locations.
